1.

I parked my car and went inside my parent's house. My mom opened the door and engulfed me in a hug. Passing a huge smile, I kissed her cheeks.

"Come beta, we were waiting for you."

I approached the living room and saw my dad, grandparents, and my little sister sitting on the couch.

"Papa!"

"Meera!" I went towards him and hugged him.

"Where is Amaira?"

"Papa, she was sleeping."

I greeted my grandparents and sat down on the sofa.

"Beta, we have called you here to discuss some important things about your life. Beta, you are just 28 years old, why are you giving up on your life? Why don't you get married?"

This is what they wanted to discuss.

"Papa, I have told you many times, that I am not getting married, and you already know why."

"I know beta, but think about Amaira, she is too young. She deserves a father."

"I am enough for her."

"You are enough for her, but she is just a small child, she needs a dad."

"For her, please get married." This time my mother spoke. I looked at her, tears gathering in her eyes.

They are blackmailing me emotionally. How can I get married when there is no hope in me? There is no hope that I can get over this heartbreak.

"Please beta...for her." This time my grandmother pleaded. What choice do I have at the end of the day?

So, I did something that I never expected and nodded.

All held a huge smile on their faces except me.

'Dad' I moved my gaze from my computer to my little soul, Advik.

'Yes, baby?'

"I want Mumma.." My heart ached after listening to his demand. How do I tell him that everyone is greedy? How do I tell him that no one could love him as her child?

Before I could say anything, he interrupted,

"Dadi is sayi that Mumma wl com son."

(Grandma is saying that Mumma will come soon.)

I frowned. Before I could question him, he took my hand in his and we both moved downstairs.

"Dadii-- tll paapa."

(Grandma, tell papa.)

I looked at my mother with a questioning gaze.

"Rudra, I have found a girl, who is ready to marry you."

"Mom, but you know everyone is after my money. No one will love Advik as her child."

"Beta, Meera isn't like that. She, herself is a single mother. She understands it more. She is ready to get married to you. She will love Advik as her child."

"But-"

"No buts, you are getting married to her."

"No, I am not getting married. And that's final. I am enough for my child."

"DADda-" My little soul started crying. I held him in my arms and asked,

"What happened baby?"

"Dadda, Mummaa."

I shushed him.

"Beta, at least for Advik marry her. She is a kind soul."

"MUMMAA---"

I looked down at my child and nodded.

Marriage was the last thing on my mind but here I am.
