3.

The dream that I had is finally coming true, but the only difference is that I am not marrying someone I love. But I am going into a loveless marriage. All people dream of marriage, and so did I. I wanted a big marriage with the love of my life. It was going to happen until everything shattered. It hurts like a bitch that I trusted someone only to get stabbed. I am not going to remember my past. It is past.

Breathe in. Breathe out. I looked at myself, looking beautiful in a red lehenga, which highlighted my presence. Many pieces of jewelry draped over me, making me feel a little suffocated.

"Mumma" "Yes, beta." "Mumma, come." I nodded and held her hand in mine. She wanted to be with me. I smiled at her cuteness, my baby Amaira.

My eyes met his, and a tangling sensation erupted in my stomach. By looking at him, I felt peace and something strange. It was new for me. He seemed utterly handsome in his sherwani, which was covering his body. My father took my hand in his and squeezed it a little, making me feel a little calm. I made my way towards him. My dad handed my hand to his.

"Take care of her." Tears gathered in my eyes. It doesn't matter whether this marriage is of love or not. But the only thing I know is I am going to be away from my home, where I grew up. My family. And suddenly a sharp in my chest erupted, making me feel uneasy. This Hurts.

I looked at him. He took my hand in his and muttered, "I will." His voice was firm. He squeezed my hand, giving me a little comfort and peace. Advik and Amaira were both beside us. Looking at us taking vows. Their eyes twinkle. We both performed rituals and promised to be together in highs and lows. Promised to be together in this new journey of marriage.

Draped in a red lehenga, she was walking towards me, looking like a gorgeous queen that I didn't deserve. Her brown eyes, small nose, and red lips—everything about her looked so perfect. A strange and possessive feeling ran through me when I held her hand in mine. Her eyes glistened with tears that parted my heart. I never felt this. As we took each vow, I felt a sudden rush and possessiveness inside me. To protect her and our children. She is crying in her mother's arms, which is tearing my heart. I looked around to search for Amaira and Advik only to see both of them sleeping in my parent's arms.

She was still crying, tears falling from her eyes. I forwarded her my handkerchief, which she accepted after muttering a thank you.

I stopped the car in front of the house and looked at my wife who was sleeping. Should I wake her up? But she is tired. I saw my mother coming towards me, she told me to wake her up as she had to perform rituals. I nodded.

"Meera?" "Meera?" I called her out 2 times but still, she didn't wake up. I shook her.

"Yes?" She muttered in her honeyed voice.

"We reached. We have to perform some rituals, then you can sleep. Come."

She nodded and I forwarded my hand to help her as her lehenga was very heavy.

We both performed rituals and went towards our room. I showed her way towards our room while advik was in my arms and amaira was holding my hand.
